Moroccan Orange Salad
This refreshing Moroccan-inspired dessert combines sliced oranges with aromatic cinnamon and orange blossom water. It is light, fragrant, and best served chilled.
Ingredients
- 4 sweet oranges
- 1 teaspoon orange blossom water, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Fresh mint leaves
- Optional: sliced dates, pomegranate seeds, or a small amount of honey
Preparation
- Peel the oranges, removing as much of the white pith as practical.
- Slice the oranges crosswise into thin rounds and arrange them on a serving plate.
- Drizzle lightly with orange blossom water.
- Dust the fruit with cinnamon. Add honey only if the oranges need extra sweetness.
- Cover and chill for about 30 minutes so the flavors can mingle.
- Garnish with mint and any optional dates or pomegranate seeds before serving.
Serving Tips
- Use ripe, juicy oranges for the best flavor.
- Add orange blossom water sparingly because its floral aroma can become overpowering.
- Serve the salad cold as a dessert, brunch dish, or refreshing finish to a rich meal.
